Welcon to deliver 44 towers for German Nordseecluster A

As part of the continued expansion of Europe’s offshore wind capacity, Welcon will deliver 44 towers for Nordseecluster A, an offshore project developed by RWE in the German sector of the North Sea.

The towers will be manufactured at our facility in Give, Denmark, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-August 2025. Here, advanced technology and Danish craftsmanship come together at scale for a project that demands the highest standards of quality and delivery reliability.

Nordseecluster A comprises 44 Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines, with a total capacity of 660 MW – enough to power nearly 700,000 German households. Turbine installation is planned for 2026, with grid connection expected in early 2027.

Together with the upcoming Nordseecluster B, the project will become part of one of the largest offshore wind developments in the German North Sea, with a planned capacity of 1.6 GW. We are proud to contribute our expertise and solutions to a project of this scale.
